I remember being a young adult and forgetting that time moves faster than a flying arrow. I watched my parents get older, but I never really gave much thought to them needing help with doctors’ appointments, navigating the healthcare system, and understanding their health insurance—until that reality stared me down, unflinchingly.

I also remember not too many years ago speaking with an elderly neighbor. She’d just celebrated her 90th birthday. Standing in the court between our houses, she told me that after she paid for medical expenses she had $200 to last her until she received her Social Security check again. She’d worked so hard all her life only to have so little in the end. It broke my heart.

It’s stories like these that make me want to help seniors live happier and healthier lives in their later years. As a Medicare broker, I can’t change the health insurance system. I don’t have that power. What I can do is help you, your parents, your neighbors, your loved ones, find healthcare solutions that work within their budgets and lifestyles.

Helping others has always been my passion.

• I have two wonderful adult daughters and two beautiful grandchildren,
• I love to travel and I always love to hear about other people’s travels.
• Hiking and paddle boarding are my hobbies. I once walked 20 miles in 10 hours. I’ll NEVER do it again—well, maybe.
• I will also talk to you for days about reading and writing. Books and storytelling are my other passions. I am a published novelist and own a ghostwriting business in addition to my insurance business.
